If you are considering starting a coaching business in the new year, the good news is that the data is on your side.
Google Trends recently released its top search trends for 2025, and “coaching” searches were one niche that really stood out.

Google highlighted growth across multiple specialties — including several hitting all-time highs. Here’s a snapshot of the top trending coaching categories:
- ADHD COACH: This is a coach that helps individuals with ADHD improve their organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, as well as their focus and goal setting. Searches have steadily doubled since 2022.
- AUTISM COACH: An Autism Coach supports both individuals and families with life skills, sociability, and transitions. Searches had been gradual since 2020, but suddenly jumped 200% in 2025.
- LEARNING COACH: Learning Coaches work with students to develop study skills and learning strategies, and improve motivation, confidence, and goal-setting. Searches for learning coaches grew over 450% in the last year.
- READING COACH: Much like a Learning Coach, a Reading Coach specializes in improving reading skills by supporting literacy development and comprehension, and helping struggling readers build confidence. Search stats are very similar to Learning Coach above.
- GRIEF COACH: A Grief Coach supports people navigating loss in a non-clinical way by developing coping strategies and moving forward. There has been steady demand for this service since 2020.
- SCREEN TIME COACH: A relatively new type of coaching, a Screen Time Coach helps children, adults, or families set healthy boundaries around devices, and reduce overuse or dependency on screens. Again, a fairly new coaching service where demand has only started to increase in this past year.
- ENERGY COACH: An Energy Coach, along with the next four types of coaching services, are really break-off niches of Life Coach. Here, you assist clients with managing and optimizing their physical, mental and emotional energy to avoid burnout and stress and create a better work-life balance. This is a fairly new search, but with interest increasing by 400% in the last two years.
- TRANSITION COACH: A Transition Coach supports people during major life changes such as school to college or college to career, medical recovery or life restructuring. Searches for this service saw a 300% growth surge in 2025.
- LONGEVITY COACH: Longevity Coaches help clients build habits that support long-term health by improving sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress management, and supporting behavior change for healthy aging. Could be in the same vein or a offshoot of the popular Wellness Coach and Health Coach businesses that have been so popular for the last few years. Again, a fairly new business just starting to show search growth in the past year.
- LOVE COACH: A Love Coach helps individuals identify relationship goals, overcome patterns, improve communication, build self-worth and develop skills to attract and maintain lasting love partnerships. It is the top searched coaching service, after life coach.
